I'm returning home around Christmas time to visit the family and I'd love to see some local dancers or boogie down at a hafla!

We may add a fun night at the restaurant - it would be small but I will post there if we do.
There are a number of restaurants that have dancers...one is India's Castle and more.

I know of Mataam Fez and now India's Castle. Are there any other restaurants with regular dancing? -

The calendar I posted does have a guest book which is for local teachers and performers --- they often have their dance location on there also.
I dance at Indias Castle on Fridays -- they have dancing on Friday night (I am there one or two fridays a month but they have someone every friday as I am who scheduled them there). I will also be there and at least one other location on NYE also. Mataam Fez does also have dancers...if it is a week night then call to make sure the dancer will be there as it depends on reservations. But there are more....
What are your dates here? My partner is at the mercury on dec 19th with Rafiah - doing a student night thing. We may have a little holiday celebration....my students and I are talking about it over the next week but not sure yet of the date.
There are two larger haflas early in the month....first and second saturday but guessing you will not be here yet.

The show will be all troupes, with dancing after. We have drink and light refreshments

Tue, October 20, 2009 - 8:09 AMI will be out closer to X-mas. X-mas lands on a Friday, so I may try to make it out there the weekend before for more time with the family (and more time to boogie!). I'll keep an eye on the calendar and hopefully something will pop up around that time. If not, I'll see if I can plan a Summer trip for next year.

Mon, October 19, 2009 - 3:02 PMHouse of Marrakesh, in lodo, also has live dancing on weekends. Just call ahead and make a reservation and ask if there will be a dancer. They call the dancer if they have enough reservations otherwise they don't have one. -

Tue, October 20, 2009 - 7:21 AMAnd slowly but surely he's started to add on dancing on the week nights, still a good idea to call ahead and request a dancer whatever night of the week. Other restaurants with dancing on the weekends:
